Mustang Times 7/2008
Here is the 1967 Terlingua Mustang tribute car we built for a customer of ours.
The car is a 100% accurate replica of the car Carroll Shelby built and Jerry Titus drove for Shelby American in 1967.
We were very lucky to have our friend Austin Craig supply us with a ton of documentation. Thanks Austin.
Cool story time:
While we were in Tulsa Jeff and J. Bittle were goofing at about 1AM. They decided to get the Terlingue car out along with J's vintage race car from the same time era. Both cars have long tube headers and NO exhaust. Loud was an understatement! It got everyone's attention in the parking lot, the bar, guest inside the hotel on the 10 floor (and down) turned on their lights, and car alarms were going off. Remeber what they say: "if you can't take a joke..."
One last thing: the center spread that Francis Butler shot is absolutely AMAZING! You ask why didn't you show us? Do you see the sticker on the front cover? It was mailed to a member. Go join MCA today and you can have this magazine sent to your house (or office) every single month.
